This policy explains what personal data Fotovive collects, why, and how long we keep it. Written in plain language, because it concerns your family photographs.
The controller is SIA "Friday", reģ. nr. 40203176398, Cēsu iela 3-2, Rīga, LV-1012, Latvia. For any data question, write to info@fotovive.lv.
From the enquiry form: your name, email address, chosen package, event date (if given) and your message.
The photographs you send us so we can carry out the work. Photographs usually show people, so they are personal data too — yours and those of the people in them.
Visit statistics: pages viewed, approximate country, device type, referring site. We use Umami, which runs on our own server, sets no cookies and builds no individual profile.
To carry out your order and communicate about it — legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
To understand how the site is used and improve it — legal basis: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). The statistics are anonymous.
To meet accounting and tax obligations once a transaction takes place — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
To restore and animate photographs we use third-party AI services — fal.ai and OpenAI. These are based in the United States, so during processing your photographs are transferred outside the European Union. The transfer is made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. These providers process the images only to perform that specific task.
For email we use our own mail server in Germany (Hetzner) and Brevo (France) for delivery.
The website and statistics run on our server in Germany (Hetzner).
We never publish your photographs or use them in marketing without your separate written consent.
We keep the photographs and the finished film for 90 days after delivery, so we can re-send the file if it is lost. After that we delete them.
If you would rather we delete everything immediately after delivery, just say so — we will, and confirm it.
Email correspondence is kept for up to 2 years; accounting records for 5 years, as required by law.
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict processing, receive it in a portable format, and object to processing.
To exercise any of these, write to info@fotovive.lv. We reply within one month.
If you believe we handle your data improperly, you may complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv).
By sending photographs you confirm you have the right to pass them to us for processing. If other people appear in them — parents, relatives — please make sure they do not object. We cannot verify these relationships and rely on your confirmation.
The connection to this site is encrypted (HTTPS). Photographs are stored on an access-restricted server. Only the controller has access.
No system is completely secure. If a breach occurred that put your rights at risk, we would inform you and the supervisory authority within 72 hours.
